Vanessa Rouzier (she/her/hers) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who truly believes in the unicity and the potential of each of her clients. She values the therapeutic alliance, as she considers that it is at the core of the changing process. She fosters that relationship by creating a non-judgmental, compassionate environment, where the client can feel safe to express their views, thoughts, emotions, and needs.
Vanessa has over 15 years of experience working in the field of mental health. She strongly believes in the interconnection between the mind and body and is very interested in the impact of early childhood experiences on current thinking patterns and behaviours. She uses evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion-Focused, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Narrative therapy.
Vanessa can support you with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, emotional eating, body image issues, ADHD, emotion regulation, trauma, unresolved childhood experiences, life transitions and relationships.
Vanessa also has an expertise in parental coaching, and is a mother of two herself. She can support you with your children and teenagers’ behavioural issues, anxieties, eating and sleeping problems.
Vanessa offers virtual counselling in English and in French.
